RecycleWise Bag Drop Recycling Center Notices, Terms, & Conditions
Please review this information before using the RecycleWise Bag Drop. By using the RecycleWise Bag Drop you agree to all terms and conditions set forth herein. By using the RecycleWise Bag Drop, you are consenting to RecycleWise and its representatives contacting you using any information provided on the attached tag for the purposes of completing the bag drop transaction, for communications related to payment, and for communications related to your customer account.
NOTICE:
(A) CRV Refund Value is not paid for packaging, contamination such as dirt or moisture, or beverage containers not properly labeled with the California redemption value message, as specified in section 14561 of the Act, or that is otherwise ineligible for redemption.
(B) The bag drop recycling center will discount the refund value for loads of containers that include nonredemption material.
(C) The bag drop recycling center is authorized to weigh and inspect the beverage containers at a different location than where the containers are delivered. All deliveries of beverage containers to the bag drop recycling center are subject to reduction of the refund value as described in subparagraphs (A) and (B). All deliveries to the bag drop recycling center are final.
IMPROPER DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIAL IS ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS!
DEPOSITING ANY HAZARDOUS MATERIAL IN THE BAG DROP CONSTITUTES IMPROPER DISPOSAL. YOU MAY FACE SEVERE PENALTIES, INCLUDING LARGE FINES AND CLEANUP COSTS. DEPOSITING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL IN THE BAG DROP WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT BAN.
ABUSIVE CONDUCT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
This includes, but is not limited to using another consumer’s account, creating an account using false credentials, submitting previously bailed or previously redeemed materials, line breakage, rejected, or out-of-state-containers. Depositing excessively contaminated material is abusive conduct. Harassment of staff or other customers is abusive conduct. Such conduct may result in an immediate and permanent ban.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payment Methods: Zelle or Check.
CRV Beverage Containers deposited in sealed bags with completed and attached tags will be processed and payment will be made within three business days of deposit. Only one material type per deposited bag. Multiple bags may be deposited per transaction.
To receive timely payment, RecycleWise suggests consumers enroll with the Zelle network using their phone number or email address. Customers whose email address and phone number are not yet associated with a Zelle account will receive a notification about enrolling in Zelle. In the event a customer is not enrolled in Zelle at the time of deposit, payment may be made by check and sent via USPS to the address written on the bag tag.

RecycleWise is not responsible for the delivery of checks by USPS after the payment check is delivered to the U.S. Postal Service. RecycleWise encourages all customers to enroll in Zelle for timely payment.
THE RECYCLEWISE BAG DROP RECYCLING CENTER ONLY PAYS CRV REFUND VALUES, NO SCRAP VALUE WILL BE PAID.

Glass, Aluminum, Plastic, Bimetal Containers Less than 24 oz. = 5¢ CRV
Glass, Aluminum, Plastic, Bimetal Containers - 24 oz. or More = 10¢ CRV
Bag-in-box, Multi Layer Pouch, Paper Carton, Plastic Pouch = 25¢ CRV
*Bag-in-box must be intact as a single unit to be eligible for CRV*
The RecycleWise Bag Drop accepts empty beverage containers in gross, in sealed and labeled bags, and does not accept individual containers. Payments are based on weight and are based on the applicable refund value per pound rate conversion as set by CalRecycle.

USING THE RECYCLEWISE BAG DROP TO DEPOSIT EMPTY CRV BEVERAGE CONTAINERS
All empty beverage containers eligible for CRV redemption are accepted.
A customer may not deposit beverage containers in excess of the consumer daily weight limits. A customer may not deposit comingled materials and must sort empty beverage containers by type prior to deposit. Only one material type per deposited bag. Multiple bags may be deposited per transaction. A customer may only deposit empty, CRV redemption eligible material that is substantially free of dirt, moisture, and other contaminates.
Daily Weight Limits Per Consumer Per Day:
- Cans = 25 lbs.
- Plastic Bottles = 25 lbs.
- Glass Bottles = 100 lbs.
- Bag-in-box = 50 lbs.
- Multi Layer Pouch = 25 lbs.
- Paperboard Carton = 25 lbs.
CUSTOMERS WHO DEPOSIT MATERIALS IN EXCESS OF THE DAILY WEIGHT LIMITS FORFEIT SUCH OVERAGE AND WILL RECEIVE NO PAYMENT FOR MATERIALS DEPOSITED IN EXCESS OF THE DAILY LOAD LIMITS.
NOTICE: Open bags, unmarked bags, or loose empty beverage containers deposited in the bag drop receptacle as well as any empty beverage containers that RecycleWise is unable to connect to a particular consumer shall be considered forfeit and donated to RecycleWise as the operator of the bag drop recycling center.
